Artist Biography

Tracy Coon is a visual artist based in Somerville, New Jersey.

She explores the beauty of nature, discarded things, darkness and light. The poetic lines of her work create a visceral art experience designed for interpretation by her audience. Her art practice includes life drawing and follows multiple disciplines from printmaking to mixed media.

Tracy attended the Cleveland Institute of Art in Cleveland, Ohio and completed foundation courses with an elective in printmaking. She has studied stone lithography under several master printers including Michael Houlihan, Stephen McKenzie, and Devraj Dakoji.

As an arts educator, Tracy has taught figure drawing and provides business coaching to artists seeking to increase their understanding of digital media and marketing practices.

Tracy's artwork has been included in solo, collaborative, and group shows. She has received several awards, including an honorable mention at the 2017 New Brunswick Art Salon at Alfa Gallery in New Brunswick.
